Plant Iowa LLC is a native plant nursery that focuses on local ecotype seed and creating and installing pollinator gardens. We believe there is a plant for every place and strive to grow native plants for every environment and condition. Our trees are grown and produced using the air pruning technique, ensuring better more fibrous roots. The business was founded in 2025 by Max Havlik who has been growing native plants since 2020. He is finishing his horticulture degree from Des Moines Area Community College in Ornamental Plant Production. Plant Iowa LLC is focused on restoring homeowners’ landscapes with local ecotype native plants. We believe that native plants are essential and it is our duty to make them accessible to the public. We believe that if we all have a few native plants in our yard then we can connect and create habitat and ecosystems in which animals and insects can flourish.
